WHERE jin's apartment
TIMELINE cycle 1

NAMJOON He had been at the hospital for over a day now, and Namjoon was fully sick of it. When his mom and Boyeon arrived, he didn't linger much at all, exchanging a few words with them before excusing himself out. Boyeon had a split lip, a painful looking bruise forming on the bridge of his nose, but Namjoon hadn't been in the mood to investigate it. He was fine, as far as Namjoon could tell, and Boyeon didn't draw any attention to it, either. Once he was able, he was collecting his things (including a small box of chocolates his mother had given him) and rushing out of that particular hospital wing as quickly as possible, while trying not to seem too eager to be gone.

Once he hit the ground floor, guilt emerged in the spaces where the stress of his family had left him. Namjoon had left Seokjin alone for the entirety of Valentine's Day without a word. The image of Seokjin surrounded by an untouched dinner, and probably many very special and thoughtful treats, slowed Namjoon's pace until he came to a stop in the mostly empty hospital lobby. He saw the front doors, and the darkness beyond them, but he turned to the left, instead, to step into the gift shop, gravitating towards a rack of soft looking teddy bears. He had grimaced at the price of the largest ones, as well as the smallest ones, for that matter. Really, none of them would function as an adequate gift, for Valentine's or for an apology; they all looked like they had been sitting in the shop for a long time, and none of them compared at all in quality to the ones Seokjin already had, but he didn't want to leave empty-handed.

He did a casual-looking lap around the shop, taking one of the smaller bears (but not the smallest!), dropping it to his side, obscuring it down and behind his leg, and, after giving the cashier a friendly nod, left the hospital and hopped on the first bus he saw.

Now he stands at Seokjin's front door, cold and miserable and stomach still in knots. He realizes that he, once again, never updated him on what he was doing, or texted him about coming over. Namjoon curses himself. How could he consistently be, so, so irresponsibly stupid? He thinks about letting himself in, but it feels wrong, now that it's so late and he's so very unannounced. It's also possible that Jin had gone to sleep by now. It's possible he was sick of waiting for him, and would prefer he didn't come in at all.

Shifting in place, from one foot to another, teddy bear under his arm and a cheap gift box of chocolates in his pocket, he pulls out his phone. If Seokjin doesn't answer a text, he'll leave his gifts here and just go home. Namjoon will be okay with that.

Are you still up? I'm...
Well, I'm here

SEOKJIN He's got a sizable pile of chocolates on the table and the funny thing is that about half of them aren't even for him. In a reversal of Namjoon's circumstances the other day, his absence had prompted many of their classmates to give Seokjin chocolates that were intended for him. Jin had been perfectly gracious about it, even finding the energy to be amused somewhere beneath his own worries.

Foolishly, selfishly, he hopes that Namjoon still might have the chance to come over tonight. He even sets aside ingredients to make pancakes again, just in case, but as the hours tick by, his expectation dwindles. Really, he chides himself. Namjoon's family is more important than a holiday that celebrates something they already know about each other.

Still, he looks at the clock and can't help but think that there's three hours of Valentine's Day left. Then two. Then one.

His phone goes off and Seokjin is almost so resigned that he doesn't hear it until a second later. He returns to himself then and pounces on his phone, reading the text and suddenly becoming almost giddy.

Not bothering to answer, Seokjin gets up and goes to open the door. "You came!"

NAMJOON The door flies open and suddenly the light from inside the apartment pours over him. Seokjin looks surprised, and Namjoon tries to discern how upset he could be. He must be at least somewhat upset, right?

"Ah, yeah. Hi."

Carefully stepping into the apartment, he fumbles in his pocket for the box of chocolates, teddy bear still tucked under his arm.

"Hi, um... I brought..."

Once he pulls the box out and moves to offer them both to Seokjin, he falters. It occurs to him all of a sudden that the last thing Jin needed was more chocolate, given how popular he was on days like this. Of course everything he would have here would be bigger and better than the meager gifts Namjoon had hastily gathered, so why did he even bother? His arms raise, and then lower

"It's just a... aish, it's stupid. Nevermind. I'm sorry. And I'm sorry for... It's really late, isn't it?"

SEOKJIN It's hard to say which of them looks more worn down, between Namjoon and the bear. The only way they'd be more bedraggled is if it were raining. Seokjin doesn't care, strangely elated that Namjoon made it here anyway. Leaning forward, he takes Namjoon by the wrists and tugs him inside, letting the door swing shut behind him.

"You made it," he says, not worried about the late hour, more interested in kissing him hello. It's only been two days and not really even that, but it's still too long to go without kissing him.

NAMJOON Namjoon was also missing Jin's kisses, and falls into it easily, even though his stomach feels heavy and his heart feels sore and moving his limbs feels just a little more difficult than normal. His hands drop to his sides limply, and he squeezes his eyes shut, letting the kisses begin to numb any thoughts of the day he had. Everything that existed outside of the apartment door begins to blur away.

Hands still full with meager offerings, he wraps his arms around Seokjin's waist. Namjoon marvels at how just touching him makes him begin to feel okay again. When their lips part, he looks back at Seokjin's face, eyes wide and worried, still automatically searching for some semblance of anger.

"Well, I had to come. It's Valentine's day."

SEOKJIN He doesn't mean to kiss Namjoon so hungrily, like he's been starved, but it's so hard not to. Kissing Namjoon sends a thrill into him and it slices through all the indecision, the sadness, and leaves him there convinced of how much Namjoon loves him. How stupid he was to ever be afraid otherwise.

When they part, there's no anger. Seokjin's eyes are a little glassy and he can't keep his hands off Namjoon. "I have chocolate for you," he says, grinning when he realizes what an absurd greeting that was.

NAMJOON Namjoon is absolutely sure that he doesn't deserve all this kindness and acceptance and love that he's getting right now, but his heart leaps despite everything. At Jins's words, a smile cracks through the morose face Namjoon had been wearing for the last few hours and he nods.

"I have, uh..." He holds up his gifts between them. "It's not great. I'm not worthy."

His breath catches in his chest as he gets a little lost in looking at Seokjin in front of him. With everything that's been on Namjoon's mind recently, the sight of him alone was soothing. He can't comprehend now how he could ever be in a situation where he could not think of him.

"Ah, wow, I missed you a lot."

SEOKJIN Namjoon smiles and Seokjin cups his face with one hand, thumb brushing against one of those knee-weakening dimples. All the weight that's rested on his shoulders is lifted and he just about beams at Namjoon. "I love them," he says, taking the bear and chocolates. The bear still looks a little woebegone and he's pretty sure it's from the hospital but he doesn't care because Namjoon gave him a Valentine's gift. Somehow, the fact that it's probably seen better days just makes it more endearing.

They've barely made it past the vestibule and Seokjin knows he ought to step backward and take them properly to the table, but holding onto Namjoon like this is addictive after worrying himself silly all night.

"I'm really glad you came, Joon-ah."

NAMJOON "I'm glad I came, too. I almost thought..." He trails off, arms draped over Jin's shoulders. The face in front of him holds him to no fault for not showing up, for being very very late, for having very bad gifts. He bows his head, freeing himself from one arm of his jacket, and then the other, replacing his arms around Seokjin each time before slumping over, forehead resting on his shoulder. "I'm stupid. I was worried you'd be really mad."

All the pleasant feelings from being around Seokjin wipe away the stresses from his obligations outside, but now that they're gone, he realizes how weary he is. Though the scent of Seokjin's clothes was a refreshing change from the stale hospital air.

"I need to change," he sighs. "And to eat, and shower, and kiss you again."

SEOKJIN Seokjin shakes his head, hugging Namjoon a little more tightly. "You didn't mean for it to happen," he says. "I'd only have been mad if you did it on purpose." Namjoon had been trying to keep his family together, to take care of everyone, to uphold his duty.

For the first time, he realizes how similar they are in that respect. It's just that Seokjin's loyalties are to all of them. Selfishly, he would give and give and give for his dongsaengs over his blood family, while Namjoon gives up so much time and energy for both.

Tonight, he wants nothing more than to take care of Namjoon, to remind him how loved he is.

"I can make something while you shower," he offers, eyes sparkling. It goes without saying that they could also both go in the shower and get right to kissing if so desired.

NAMJOON "I'd never leave you on purpose, Jin-ah," Namjoon says with a smile, raising his head again to look Seokjin in the eyes.

However tempting the unspoken suggestion is, Namjoon needs to put aside the temptation to just forget everything and lose himself in Seokjin. Perhaps it's because he's still transitioning out of a logical, practical mindset, knowing that forgetting to eat while he can will hurt him later, but also he feels the intense desire to get everything about the last day just... off of him. Seokjin didn't deserve to have a Namjoon around that was still distracted and upset, still carrying burdens that should be left outside.

"Is that okay? I'm sorry, I'm... I need to get all this hospital off before it bonds with me." He slips a hand into Seokjin's hair. God, being like this feels so much better than everything else. "You didn't give all the fluffy pancakes to your female admirers, did you?"

SEOKJIN "I know," Seokjin says. He has absolute faith in Namjoon, more than he thinks he's ever had in anyone. All seven of them fit together but the two of them have something real, unbreakable. Leaning forward, he gives Namjoon one more kiss and then steps back so that the path to the shower is clear. "Of course it's okay. I wouldn't offer if it wasn't."

He grins, nodding at the other pile on the table. "Those were given to me to give to you by the way. You have admirers too." Jin lets Namjoon absorb that with a mischievous grin and then disappears into the kitchen to start making pancakes.

NAMJOON Namjoon pauses as Seokjin leaves for the kitchen, taking a peek at the chocolates he guestured to. He must be embellishing, must have padded the pile with his own gifts, right? There was no way any of those were for him originally, right? He lingers there for a long, confused moment before finally removing his shoes and making for the shower.

He's not sure how long he's been there, but at some point he wonders if the shower was actually a mistake. The initial relief of the hot water had worn off, and his thoughts began to drift on their own, back towards the decisions he made in the last day. Had he been wrong to make Boyeon go to school? He had come back to the hospital with bruises, and Namjoon hadn't even asked, or wondered where they came from, though now he can guess. Had Namjoon been irresponsible, by trying to be responsible? Now that he thinks about it, making his brother go to school after everything that happened, knowing his temperament, was a really stupid idea. He doesn't know if Boyeon went looking for trouble or not, but it wouldn't have been surprising.

Once he finds his thoughts back at the hospital in the middle of the night, trying to make out his mother's expression in the dark room, he turns the water off suddenly, deciding that showering is now doing more harm than good.

Putting on a pair or fresh pyjamas, Namjoon almost slips back into thought at the sight of his reflection in the bathroom mirror. He probably would have gotten stuck there if not for the smell of something cooking leaking into the room. His stomach leaps in excitement and he hastily dries his hair. In several quick steps, he's out of the room and hugging Seokjin again, tightly as if he hasn't seen him in weeks.

SEOKJIN Seokjin lets his mind tune out as he cooks, faintly aware of the sound of the shower in the background. Fluffy pancakes, as he'd learned the night before, aren't actually hard to make. Mostly, they require a lot of whisking and cursing his decision not to get a hand-mixer because it would take up space. At least with Namjoon in the shower, Jin can get all the hard parts done and make it look easy and effortless once Namjoon comes out.

By the time the shower stops running, he's halfway through the batter, one ear open for Namjoon's approach. Jin hears him coming but doesn't expect the ferocity of the hug, even though he clings back just as hard. Namjoon smells of his soap and his hair is still damp and there's a freshness to him, like he can relax and rest now.

"I'm glad you came," he says, briefly laying his head on Namjoon's shoulder.

NAMJOON "I'm sorry I took so long to get here."

He wants to bury himself in this feeling. Everything currently in Namjoon's senses works to heal all the weary parts of him that stubbornly cling, despite his efforts to leave his issues at the door. How did he get so lucky? Why was he allowed this? What has he ever done to deserve it?

He breathes Seokjin in before slowly taking in the surroundings outside of their embrace. The kitchen was a living workplace at the moment. Pancake batter and various cooking utensils took up much of his field of view, as well as a small pile of finished pancakes that Namjoon couldn't help but marvel at.

"You're actually a master," He says, in awe. "You made them so perfect, it's not possible... Ah, I'm sorry, I got in the middle of your genius." Reluctantly, he puts his hands up and takes a step back, as if to stay out of the way.

SEOKJIN "You don't have to apologize." It's the logical answer. There was no malice behind his disappearance, just bad luck and then family. And now he's here. Namjoon came in at the very end of Valentine's day and still brought him gifts and, somehow, this is the best Valentine's Day he's had in a while, even with everything else. At the end of it, Namjoon still came.

Seokjin laughs and wraps an arm around Namjoon's waist, tugging him close. He'll have to let go when it's time to flip the pancake but until then, he leans against him. "It's not that genius," he says. "But I'll definitely listen to you compliment me all you want." Their height difference isn't insurmountable but Jin goes up on tiptoes to kiss him anyway, lingering for a moment even as he watches the pan out the corner of his eye.

NAMJOON Cute. He has to hold down a wide smile while being kissed. Cute, cute, cute.

Seokjin was so perfectly him tonight, and it made Namjoon's heart practically fly away. He's sure Seokjin's mood wasn't like this earlier, tries not to remember the pained edge of his voice on the phone, but he seemed so happy right now that Namjoon can't help but think he must have done at least one thing right.

"Does something about Valentine's day make you extra adorable? Because you're being extra adorable." He smirks once Seokjin drops from his tiptoes. Namjoon briefly holds up Seokjin's chin with his fingers so he can place a quick kiss on his nose. Truthfully, there was nothing Namjoon wanted to do more than shower him in compliments all night. "And extra handsome at the same time."

SEOKJIN "Am I being extra adorable? We know I'm always extra handsome," he says. It's hard not to bounce when his whole mood has changed from resigned and lonely to surprised and optimistic in one moment. Beyond the door, they still have so many troubles, so many things that weigh on them, but in this moment he has Namjoon.

"I'm really happy." His tone is more serious now, less utterly giddy. "I thought you'd be too busy or too tired to come by. You've had such a long day."

NAMJOON Namjoon's smile remains, though a little melancholy, and he nods, shoulders drooping. "To be honest, I am busy and tired, and it has been a long, long day, but..." He exhales, his eyes dropping to their feet, to the patterns on the kitchen floor. His hand falls to his side, but his fingers find Seokjin's without looking and he carefully intertwines them.

Truthfully, he's running on empty right now, and it should be shocking that he's functional. If Namjoon weren't here, he'd have collapsed onto the first horizontal surface he saw. But, somehow Seokjin could hold him upright with his care and his words and his touch.

"...I think those are the times I want to see you the most."

SEOKJIN Seokjin leans forward, pressing his forehead to Namjoon's and not demanding anything else with his touch. All that exhaustion and Namjoon still made time for him. Seokjin tries to remember if he's ever felt so loved and can't find a single example of it.

"Then we'll eat soon and go to bed," he promises. "And you'll sleep as much as you want and I'll hold onto you as long as you need me." It doesn't feel like he has much to give, nothing that will take away the weariness that seems to have settled somewhere deep in Namjoon's bones, floating with the marrow. "And it will be a great Valentine's Day."

NAMJOON How?

How did he get so lucky?

Seokjin's words send a blossoming warmth through his entire body, and he can't help but light up. After so much time of having to take control of so many responsibilities alone, it was wonderful to be reminded that he didn't have to be, that there was someone who he could lean on and that it was okay, even welcomed, to do so.

"Then you're going to be holding on to me for a long time." Namjoon nudges Seokjin's nose with his own and that's where he intended for the action to stop, but it was just too easy to dip into another kiss from there.

"I think I understand Valentine's day now. I think I get it, the whole point of it," he says when he pulls back, barely noticing that one hand had nestled its way into Seokjin's hair. "I'm really, really lucky to have you. You deserve a day with all the attention." He laughs at the thought of all Seokjin's admirers, wide eyed and following him around. "Even if it's not all from me."

SEOKJIN "Probably all night," Jin agrees, sounding like he doesn't mind it at all. "Maybe even into the morning." It's so easy to lean into the kiss, his whole body relaxing, head tilting into Namjoon's hand. Sometimes, he reflects that it's such an impossible thing that of all the people on earth, scattered across the planet, the one who's perfect for him is here now and in his arms.

How did he get so lucky?

"I wasn't kidding when I said some of those chocolates were for you," he says. Now his grin just turns slightly wicked, eyes curving with amusement. "Go check them out. I'll bring the food over in a second."

NAMJOON "Aish, I don't believe you, still. This is some kind of ruse." Namjoon throws his arms up in exaggerated exasperation as he turns away from Seokjin and heads towards the table.

He slides into the seat in front of the prepared pile of chocolate Seokjin had set up, and frowns at the size. Spreading the pile out with his hands, his eyes scan over the different shapes and brands and colours. Surely, these were just from his own boyfriend. Surely.

But then his eyes get stuck on a label on one particular box. Thin, rectangular, brown with a peach ribbon, a label tied onto it that had his name on it in fine letters, and under that, two names he recognises.

"Ah, wait, no!" He exclaims before squinting at the writing once to make sure it wasn't Seokjin's. Even so, he's not sure Seokjin knew the full names of his admirers in Namjoon's class. "No, wait, why!?" He imagines how they would have approached Seokjin, how they must have talked themselves up to have the confidence to do it, how they must have melted into the floor afterwards in awe. A very loud laugh bursts out of him as he shakes the box, as if he's shaking them. "Why?! You could have given this to him, why did you send it to me? Why are you like this?"

He drops his forehead to the table, arms splayed out across the mess of presents. He hadn't read more than one label and he already couldn't handle it. Namjoon's shoulders shake with incredulous laughter still.

"Jin-ah! I can't do this!"

SEOKJIN Seokjin laughs. Even with his back turned, he can tell that Namjoon found the chocolates from his friend-admirers. "They wanted me to make sure you knew how sweet they thought you were," he said. "They were very emphatic on that point."

He walks out with two plates of pancakes and sets one down in front of Namjoon. The stacks are thick and fluffy though not so tall that Namjoon can hide the sight of his pile with it. A gently mischievous part of Seokjin wants Namjoon to have to stare at them and realize just how liked he really is. "I didn't read their note. I don't know if they're love chocolates or friend chocolates, but they were very sweet about it."

There's one box that sits at the base of the pile, trying to be inconspicuous but not invisible. It contains candied fruit dipped in chocolate, something that Jin hopes will satisfy Namjoon's raging sweet tooth. Many of the girls had given dark chocolate, probably under the impression that Namjoon's exterior means a bittersweet interior. Seokjin knows better.

NAMJOON "The one time they gather up the courage to talk to you, and it's to give me something, I just don't understand." He raises his head and looks at the box again before pushing it away from him. "Ugh, they're cute. I can't read the card yet, I'm going to die."

The sight and smell of pancakes distracts him from his emotions and he's cutting off a piece and tossing it in his mouth before he knows it. Namjoon sighs loudly as it settles in his empty stomach and he's already cutting another piece. "Thank you so much, Jinnie, seriously. Oh--!" His eyes widen as he suddenly gets an idea. "We should eat these with chocolate, right? Wouldn't that be good?"

He chews a large piece of pancake as his fingers comb through the pile in front of him. "Though... I guess I understand why the others said it felt kind of sad to eat them." He props his head up with one hand, resting his elbow on the table as he tries to choose something small, something he'd feel a little less bad eating, when his hand hovers over one box he was about to push to the side for being too nice looking for him. It was the handwriting, his eyes had gotten stuck on.

He picks it up carefully, turns it over with one hand and bites his lip. "You didn't have to get me anything, you know that, right? You give me so much."

SEOKJIN Even if it's just for a little while, it seems completely worth it. Namjoon looks sort of delighted with the array of chocolates and the pancakes and it lifts the exhaustion off him. "A lot of them said they wanted to give chocolates, even if feelings weren't returned. They were all so nice about it that it felt rude not to take them," he says. And maybe that's also his sweet tooth justifying it but it's also the truth. Even with rumors of his fake girlfriend, they had given chocolate with no expectation.

Maybe he ought to give them thank you notes on White Day with something cute on them. Is that too much?

Namjoon gets to Seokjin's chocolates and he breaks into a grin, like he's been holding out on a joke all day. "It's the first time I get to celebrate Valentine's Day with you," he says. "I like the idea of being able to give you chocolate."

NAMJOON Namjoon purses his lips as he holds the box of Seokjin's chocolates, hesitating. Does he open them first, before all the others, or does he save them for last? Curiosity wins over the desire to preserve them and he forks another large piece of pancake into his mouth before removing the band that held the box closed. His eyes practically glisten once he takes off the lid and sees the chocolate covered candies lined up neatly inside.

"Jinnie, these are too nice for me," he says, looking away from the box, and then back again. And they are too nice for him. They're the kind of things that he'd see when he's out in town and instinctually know that he will never have. Not that he ever felt like he wanted those things. Since he was a child, Namjoon had been so accustomed to accepting that nice things simply aren't for him that it barely registers anymore. However, being with Seokjin has started to bring these things to the forefront of his mind. Was it okay to enjoy this? Does enjoying it make him selfish? Spoiled? Is that right?

But Seokjin had gotten them for him, and for Valentine's day. Regardless of how he felt about it, it would be rude not to enjoy them. He pops a small, round chocolate in his mouth and a slow smile spreads across his face as he lets it melt. Aware that Seokjin is watching him, he laughs self-consciously and holds out the box towards him.

"It's really, really good. Here, you should have some too, chocolate goes well with pancakes." As if taking his own advice, he cuts another bite while the sugar still lingered in his mouth. "Ah, what do I do? This is too good. You deserve more than a cheap gift box and a stolen teddy bear as a gift." He swallows, but it gets caught and he clears his throat before continuing. "Not, uh, that I stole anything, of course."

SEOKJIN "Not true," Seokjin replies. "Nothing is too nice for you as far as I'm concerned." Namjoon has lived so much of his life without anyone even those little luxuries and now he's carving his place in life, all on his own. He's got too much pride to let Seokjin help in the big ways and Seokjin–who understands the terrible realities of it himself–knows better than to try. But he can do this, can't he? He can get Namjoon a proper Valentine's Day gift, the first one he's given anyone. He'd been almost stupidly happy when he'd picked them up, so excited to celebrate the day with someone he loves.

"Everyone thinks you're tough," he says in a low, teasing voice. "Cigarettes and black coffee and standing in the rain, or whatever it is tough guys do. But I've seen you eat sugar out of the bag with a spoon. You have a sweet tooth." Seokjin's eyes light up, as if he's discovered something.

Glancing down at his own chocolates and his definitely-not-stolen bear, Seokjin is briefly torn between wanting to laugh and wanting to scold Namjoon. He definitely shouldn't be stealing but it's hard to imagine that little bear would have been missed. There's a grubbiness to it that comes from being ignored, not manhandled, and he can easily imagine the poor thing wasting away on a shelf. "I love them," he says. "Especially the bear you liberated."

NAMJOON Namjoon can't help but look bashful, aware that it was completely opposite to the tough-boy look that Seokjin was describing. "I can't help that good-tasting things are good-tasting," he protests, but holds a hand up to his mouth, embarrassed anyways. "Ah, Seokjinnie knows me too well and I'm glad about that." He happily takes another bite of the chocolate he was gifted, smiling wide.

"It's the same for you, I think. The way people talk about you, you'd think Kim Seokjin is so suave and cool, always walking in slow motion into a constant breeze, rose petals following wherever he goes." He points to the bear, continuing with his mouth full of chocolate and pancake. "But I see that and I know that Kim Seokjin needs something soft and cute to cuddle with."

SEOKJIN "You're a good person," he says, leaning against Namjoon happily. "And I am suave and cool. Haven't you seen the rose petals?" Of all their friends, Seokjin thinks by now that Namjoon must know most clearly how much of Seokjin's ego is faked. He's aware of and pleased with his good looks but knows how fleeting those are, especially when he considers his lack of other prospects. If Namjoon sees through him and still loves him despite that, then it's okay.

Not that it stops him from hugging the little bear to his chest. "You're my big bear and there's Namjoonior. He's the third bear, so I'm going to call him Samjoon. What do you think?"

NAMJOON "I..." Namjoon had scooped the last of what was on his plate into his mouth and so was not at all ready to experience Seokjin explaining the names of his bears to him. He chokes back a laugh, and then covers his mouth, squeezing his eyes shut as he tries to work through his food while the urge to laugh builds up unbearably.

Un-bear-ably? He can't help but inhale suddenly and then break down into a combination of painful coughs as well as laughter. He wipes small tears from the corners of his eyes as he eventually clears his throat, gathering himself again.

"I don't... Ahh, ow. I don't know why you named them after me but, aish. Yeah. Those are alright names."

SEOKJIN Seokjin tries to suppress his grin and fails, little squeaks of laughter escaping him. Namjoon chokes from laughter and Jin leans over to slap his back, trying to clear his airways, but it's not like he's in a much better state. Namjoon's happiness, the unstoppable giggles, are a refreshing change from earlier. He no longer looks worn out and tired and Seokjin has to drag in another lungful of air, determined to steady himself but only because he needs to lean over and give Namjoon a kiss.

"I name them after you because then I have a reminder for the nights you can't make it home. So I don't miss you so badly."
